Rain, dust storm hit City
LAHORE:Rain along with dust storm hit the City here on Monday evening. Earlier, heatwave continued to grip the City as mercury reached 44.8°C here on Monday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
Met officials said a shallow westerly wave was likely to enter upper parts of the country today (Tuesday). They predicted that mainly hot weather was expected in most parts of country while very hot in plain areas.
However, duststorm/thunderstorm with isolated rain was expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, Pothohar Region, upper Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during evening/night. Monday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Bhakkar and Kot Addu where mercury reached 48°C, while in Lahore, it was 44.8°C and minimum was 28.8°C.
