LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has ambitious plans to upgrade Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, alongside Karachi and Rawalpindi’s major cricket venues. The goal is to be fully prepared for hosting the Champions Trophy early next year.

A key focus of the Gaddafi Stadium renovation is to significantly improve the viewing experience for spectators. Inspired by the Dubai Cricket Stadium, the aim is to provide unobstructed views of the match from all seats.

Plans include moving hospitality boxes closer to the ground for a better experience, expanding seating capacity in the Imran Khan and Fazal Mahmood enclosures, and installing a large screen to enhance the match-day atmosphere.
