Women’s Softball begins today
LAHORE: The 1st PNSC Inter-Provincial Women's Softball Championship will begin on Thursday (today) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa taking on Balochistan and Punjab locking horns with hosts Sindh at the KPT Sports Complex Karachi.
The opening ceremony of the event will be held at 5:30 pm. All the teams have reached Karachi to participate in the event. In the championship Anila Mehwish from Sindh will get the honour of becoming the first female umpire in the history of Pakistan softball to officiate at the national level.
US Consul General Conrad Tribble extends best wishes to the participating teams. “I hope that the best games in the event will be held. It will be seen that the Softball Federation of Pakistan deserves to be congratulated for their commendable efforts,” Conrad said.
The US Consul General said that softball and baseball are played very enthusiastically in America.The 2028 Olympic Games are in his hometown Los Angeles. “I wish the Pakistani softball team to be a part of the Los Angeles Olympic Games,” he wished.
