HARIPUR: Unidentified assailants murdered a boy by slitting his throat and dumped the body in the limits of Khalabat Township Police Station, a police official said on Friday.
SHO Khalabat Township Police Station Siddiq Shah, on whose complaint the FIR was registered against unknown assailants, said that the area people informed him that the body of a boy was lying in the agriculture fields near Lodhi graveyards of Chohar village. He said a police party shifted the body to the Trauma Centre.
The SHO said that the circumstantial evidence showed that the slain boy, 13/14 years of age, was wearing shalwar kameez. The accused had murdered him by slitting his throat with a sharp-edged weapon, he said, adding, the condition of the body showed that the deceased was murdered somewhere else and his body was dumped in the limits of Khalabat Township Police Station.
The identity of the boy could not be ascertained as there was nothing on the body to prove; however the SHO said the picture of the deceased has been shared on different social media channels for the purpose of inviting the attention of legal heirs.
