ABBOTTABAD: Regional Police Office Hazara Tahir Ayub Khan on Tuesday vowed to take stern action against land mafia and drug paddlers.
“The land drug mafia do not deserve any concession. And there will be no compromise on law and order as we have set our priorities and will be utilising all our capabilities to maintain law and order,” he told reporters here.
The DIG Hazara added that the police force was fully active to take care of the general public and also warned the black sheep in the police department of an exemplary punishment. He said steps had been taken for the protection of tourists in Hazara Division, especially in Naran, Kaghan and in Galiyat, where specialized tourism police would help the tourists.
The most important problem of Abbottabad, he said, was the traffic congestion on the Silk Road and the traffic authorities were in touch with other departments to solve the issue. He said that the security of Chinese nationals was the top priority of the police and all the ongoing projects would be protected.
“Complete security is being provided to the Chinese nationals working for various projects in Hazara Division. And the people of Kohistan have also been cooperating with the police in this regard,” he went on to add.
