Drive against drug peddlers intensified
Islamabad: Islamabad police have intensifying its crackdown against drug pushing, the police spokesman said Saturday.
Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari, in a press statement issued by the police spokesman, said that the onslaught against the drug mafia would continue till the elimination of the last drug dealer. During the operation, Islamabad Police have arrested over 250 suspected drug traders and seized more than 50 kilograms of heroin, over 30 kilograms of hashish and over 8 kilograms of Ice from the suspects.
DIG Operations emphasized that this operation will continue until the eradication of this menace. He said that the primary objective of the police is to ensure the safety and security of the citizens.
