UVAS holds floral art seminar, contest
LAHORE: The Department of Biological Science of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged daylong seminar on “Future Potential of Floriculture” & "Floral Art Competition" at Ravi Campus Pattoki on Thursday.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students from different departments actively participated in the three categories of the Floral Art competition, including fresh floral arrangement, dry floral arrangement and ikebana arrangement etc.
Principle Scientific Officer Horticultural Research Station Sahiwal Mudassar Naseer delivered an informative lecture to UVAS students. He spoke about various directions to the students who showed their interest in the startup of floriculture business. Principal Officer Ravi campus Prof Dr Arshad Javid presided over the concluding session and distributed certificates, cash prize and shields among the winner of floral art contest.
