Pakistan, Syria strengthen educational ties

Islamabad:In a significant development aimed at enhancing educational cooperation between Pakistan and Syria, a high-level Syrian delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Education Mr. Rami Al-Dhulli, met with Pakistan's Minister of Federal Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.

During the meeting, Minister Siddiqui reiterated the longstanding brotherly relations between the two nations and emphasized Pakistan's commitment to supporting Syria in uplifting its education system. He highlighted the importance of mutual cooperation and the exchange of expertise to advance education in both countries, particularly in the field of technical skills development.

Secretary of Education Mr. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani briefed the delegation on various government initiatives aimed at adopting the latest best practices in the education sector. He particularly highlighted the success of the School Meals Program in reducing the number of out-of-school children, expressing hope that such creative initiatives would further enhance access and quality of education.

Deputy Minister Al-Dhulli praised Pakistan's efforts in reducing the number of out-of-school children and underscored the pivotal role of technical education in uplifting the economy. Minister Siddiqui offered numerous scholarships for Syrian students, emphasizing that Pakistani institutes welcome them with open doors.
