Doctors join PTI

A delegation of senior doctors led by Dr Shaour Qureshi called on the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf media coordination on Sunday and announced joining the party.
Expressing complete confidence in the leadership of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, the new entrants to the party expressed their commitment to stand by him in his struggle to purge the country of corruption.
Dr Shahid Siddiq stated that the government-run hospitals in Punjab were in worst condition and corrupt practices in them were coming to surface. He said the audit report had exposed mega corruption in health sector. Only in Punjab Institute of Cardiology, the PTI leader stated, instruments and medicines worth around 4. 7 million were stolen. He said that in the name of user charges, Rs 90 million were minted from the patients, whereas an amount more than Rs 33 crores was not included in the personal ledger.
He also criticised the rulers for allegedly turning a deaf ear to the complaints of corruption, and said that the nation could not be deceived any more.
Meanwhile, PTI leader and former Punjab Governor Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar, in a statement, said a significant majority of rulers would be in prisons in case of clean and clear accountability in the country. The government is mounting problems for itself by rejecting the terms of reference of the opposition, said he. Chaudhary Sarwar said the eradication of corruption was voice of the nation. He said that PTI wanted equal implementation of law for the rich and the poor, equal access to basic health, social justice and education facilities in the country for all.
He said the country would get rid of incompetent and corrupt leaders forever. He said that no public problems were going to be resolved under the present regime.
