LAHORE: Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and Ameer Uddin Medical College (AMC) Principal Prof Dr Al-Fareed Zafar has said that more than 15,000 patients were treated in the Emergency Department of Lahore General Hospital free of cost during Eid ul Fitr holidays. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting at LGH here on Monday.
MS Prof Dr Nudrat Sohail and other administrative doctors were also present in the meeting in which the details of the treatment facilities provided to the patients were discussed. Prof Al-Fareed Zafar appreciated the efforts of all the faculty members, MS Dr. Nudrat Sohail and professors who performed their duties efficiently to ensure uninterrupted treatment facilities to the patients who visited the hospital from April 9 to 14. He said that in future, the arrangements will be made in more proper manner during the holidays of such religious festivals so that the people visiting hospital with any kind of disease do not face any difficulty.
Prof Al-Fareed Zafar added that it is our mission to provide the best medical facilities to the patients and LGH doctors, nurses and paramedics will continue their services to meet the expectations of the public by providing top standard treatment to the citizens.
Dr Nudrat while briefing the meeting told that during the Eid holidays, 2,955 x-rays, 1,012 ultrasounds, 716 ECGs, 189 dialysis and 691 CT scans were conducted free of cost in the hospital.
