MULTAN/ MUZAFFARGARH: Kot Addu police have arrested the accused who allegedly molested a 13-year-old child during Aitkaf in a mosque in Sananwan, Kot Addu, police said.
On April 2, 28-year-old accused Tanveer, who was also participating in Aitkaf in a mosque, allegedly molested the 13-year-old child. Police apprehended the accused within 24 hours of filing the case. Sananwan SHO Shahid Rizwan arrested the accused in Multan where he was found hiding at a relative's house, according to police. The DNA test of the victim is also being conducted.
Earlier, the victim’s father, a resident of Moza Gormani Sharqi in Kot Addu district, filed a complaint with Sanawan police on April 2, stating that he is a labourer and his son was observing Aitkaf at Masjid Siddique Akbar Bakhi chowk. The accused also threatened the child with dire consequences if he disclosed the incident. Kot Addu police registered the case under FIR 194/24 under sections 376 iii PPC.
