KARACHI: After mediatory efforts of Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, leaders of PTI and MQM have agreed to take part in the upcoming by-election in the National Assembly constituency NA-246 peacefully while observing the code of ethics of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and without vitiating the law and order situation of the city. A day after the Azizabad locality of the city witnessed a clash between the activists and supporters of PTI and MQM in the run-up to April 23 by-election, the leaders of PTI and MQM assembled at the Governor’s House on Wednesday and after a mediatory session, chaired by Dr Ebad, agreed not to further vitiate the environment.
