Yaum-e-Ali traffic diversion plan issued for public assistance

A mourning procession will be held from Nishtar Park to Hussainian Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar on Monday (today) in connection with Yaum-e-Ali. The traffic police have issued a traffic diversion plan for the public.

According to the traffic police spokesman, the route of the procession will be as follows: Nishtar Park, MA Jinnah Road, Capri Cinema, Mansfield Street, Regal Chowk, Preedy Street, MA Jinnah Road, Bolton Market, Bombay Bazaar, Nawab Mohabbat Khanji Road and Hussainian Iranian Imambargah.

As soon as the procession leaves Nishtar Park, all traffic coming from the city will be diverted from Soldier Bazaar (Bahadur Yar Jung Road), Coast Guards Headquarters, Ankle Saria Chowk, Karachi Zoo to Nishtar Road. All traffic coming from Nazimabad to MA Jinnah Road will be diverted from Lasbela Chowk to Nishtar Road towards Garden.

All traffic coming from Liaquatabad to MA Jinnah Road will be diverted from Teen Hatti Chowk to Jail Road towards Martin Road. All these vehicles will be allowed to go to Jail Chowrangi Flyover, and through Jail Road towards Jamshed Road, Dadabhai Noorji Road, Kashmir Road, Mazar-e-Quaid and Sharea Faisal.

All traffic coming from Stadium Road to MA Jinnah Road will be allowed to come from New MA Jinnah Road. However, they will be able to go through Dadabhai Noorji Road, Kashmir Road and Society Light Signal via Mazar-e-Quaid to Sharea Faisal.

All traffic coming from Super Highway Gulberg to MA Jinnah Road will be diverted from Liaquatabad No. 10 to Nazimabad Chowrangi No. 2, going through Habib Bank Flyover, State Avenue Road and Sher Shah to Mauripur.

No vehicle coming from Gurumandir Chowk will be allowed along the procession route. All these vehicles will be diverted to Bahadur Yar Jung Road. All vehicles heading to Numaish should go beyond Society Office Chowrangi. No vehicle without the appropriate windscreen sticker will be allowed to join the procession.

When the front of the procession reaches MA Jinnah Road, Mansfield Street, all traffic heading towards other colonies will not be allowed to go beyond the following intersections towards Empress Market: Preedy Street, MA Jinnah Road; Court Road Chowk; and Fresco Chowk.

All traffic going from MA Jinnah Road to Saddar will not be allowed to go towards Preedy Street, Aga Khan Road, Mansfield Street. No vehicle will be allowed towards MA Jinnah Road, Preedy Street Junction, MA Jinnah Road until the procession passes through this intersection. All traffic heading towards the zoo and Aga Khan Road towards MA Jinnah Road will not be allowed to go beyond the Ankle Saria Hospital.

Those who want to join the procession can do so via Garden, Jamaat Khana, Britto Road, Soldier Bazaar No. 3 Light Signal from Lasbela. Those joining from Liaquatabad will be able to do so by turning left from Teen Hatti via Gurumandir.

Those joining through Shahrah-e-Quaideen will be able to do so through Numaish from Society Signal. Those joining from Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Jauhar will be able to do so through University Road, old vegetable market, Kashmir Road, Society Signal or through PP Chowrangi to Nawa-e-Waqt.

Vehicles will be able to distribute Nazar and Niaz among the procession participants from Tower to Bolton Market near the Kharadar police station between 4pm and 6pm. No vehicle will be allowed to be parked along the route of the procession.
