Digitisation of urban, rural land records reviewed

LAHORE: Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) Nabil Javed chaired an important meeting in the committee room here on Friday.

It was informed in the briefing that under the project, digitisation of urban and rural land records and maps of Punjab is being done and 28 million deeds of all districts are being scanned.

The progress in the goals set under the Plus project was reviewed in the meeting attended by Plus Project, Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) officers and member IT. Director Asim Saleem briefed the meeting on progress in Plus Project.

In the initial phase, parcel mapping and digital maps of eight districts are being prepared. SMBR Nabil Javed said that Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement is a very important project and negligence or irresponsibility will not be tolerated. With the help of Plus project, land boundaries will be determined and illegal occupations will be identified. Land record of Punjab will be available on digital map. Nabil Javed issued instructions to complete all the objectives on time. He further said that providing service delivery and facilitating end-source is the main priority of the department.
