ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notice to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on a petition filed against non-issuance of certified Forms 45 and 49 by the election watchdog. The court sought reply from the ECP today (Wednesday).
During the hearing of the case on Tuesday, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq remarked that obtaining certified forms is a legal right.
The order that was issued on the petition of Shoaib Shaheen the same order is also applicable to the petition of Salman Akram Raja.
These forms have to be issued by the ECP, even if it issues them today or after 10 days, he added. Shoaib Shaheen appeared in the court in person while Salman Akram Raja was presented by his counsel.
