KASUR: A Punjab Police ASI was martyred in the line of duty here on Friday.
Muhammad Akram was martyred in the firing of bandits in the Kanganpur area of Kasur. According to police, after receiving information about the incident, DPO Kasur Tariq Aziz Sindhu and other policemen reached Kanganpur to monitor an operation against the bandits. One of the bandits, Latif, was killed in retaliatory fire while his brother Shafiq was arrested after being injured.
