MANSEHRA: The activists of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf on Saturday demanded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to establish tehsil municipal administration offices in the Pulrah area of the district.

“The PTI’s previous provincial government had given the status of tehsil to Pulrah, but offices are yet to be established here,” Bakhtiar Tanoli, a local activist of PTI told reporters in Pulrah on Saturday.

Flanked by other activists of his party, he said that the people of Pulrah were still deprived of the basic civic services.

“We want offices of a tehsil administration and the government should ensure civic services for the people here,” Bakhtiar Tanoli said.

He said that offices of Benazir Income Support Programme were shifted from here to anywhere else, forcing the local women to go to Mansehra for registration and other problems related to their financial assistance.

Shamsur Rehman, another office-bearer of the PTI, said that people were being deprived of the basic rights.

“We have been experiencing eight to 10 hours of power outages a day owing to the apathy of Peshawar Electric Supply Company,” he added.

“We will launch street agitation for our rights If the issues are not addressed by the government,” he added.
