LAHORE: Pakistan’s emerging boxer Ibrahim went down to Somchay Wongsuwan of Thailand in the 63.5 kilogramme weight category preliminaries in the World Qualifying Round for the Paris Olympics in Italy.
Ibrahim lost 5-0. Meanwhile, London-based Laura Akram developed an ankle injury during training and could not play her first 60kg bout against Anna Julia Jenni.
