KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd (SSGC) said on Thursday it would suspend gas supply to industries in Sindh province for 24 hours from Feb. 18 due to low pressure in the system.
The gas utility said in a statement that the availability of gas had decreased, resulting in the depletion of line packs, causing low pressures in the system. All industries, including their power generation units and all compressed natural gas (CNG) stations in Sindh, will remain closed from 8:00 a.m. on Feb. 18 to 8:00 a.m. on Feb. 19, it said.
SSGCL warned that it would take strict action against any industry found violating the gas holiday period and that their gas supplies would be disconnected for at least seven days.
