ISLAMABAD: A spokesperson for the Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf reiterated the party's steadfast and full support for the decades-long struggle of Kashmiris on Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The spokesperson highlighted the courageous resistance of the Kashmiri people against Indian state terrorism and genocidal acts over the past 76 years.

In a special message, the spokesperson emphasised that Kashmir Solidarity Day aims to shed light on the dark chapter in history when Indian forces forcibly occupied Jammu and Kashmir 76 years ago without any moral, legal, or constitutional justifications.

Despite the passage of 76 years, the spokesperson lamented that severe human rights violations and barbarism by Indian occupation forces continue in Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir to suppress dissenting voices.

However, the PTI spokesperson noted that the ongoing state terrorism and inhumane actions by Indian forces have only intensified the freedom struggle, demonstrating the resilience and determination of the people of the valley.

The spokesperson reminded the international community of India's involvement in state terrorism, extrajudicial killings, and restrictions on freedom of expression in occupied Kashmir. With over one million Indian troops turning the occupied valley into the world's largest prison, the Kashmiri people remain steadfast in breaking the shackles of Indian slavery.

The spokesperson emphasised that India's unilateral action on August 5 reflects its RSS-inspired thinking and Hindutva ideology. Warning against the threats posed by the BJP's Hindutva mindset and extremist actions to regional peace, the spokesperson stressed that India's illegal occupation of Kashmir is an international dispute. The solution lies in the implementation of the United Nations Charter and UN Security Council resolutions.

The PTI spokesperson called upon the United Nations to play a crucial role in ensuring India's compliance with international obligations and resolving the decades-long dispute in line with the aspirations of the people of the scenic valley.
