Addressing a function organised by the Fata Secretariat and the Pak Rural Development Programme (PRDP), Assistant Political Agent (APA) Shahid Ali Khan said the education emergency would help educate more and more children. He said that 100 percent enrolment of the children would be ensured. Agency Education Officer Habibullah Khan, PRDP Coordinator Asghar Ali, School children, tribal elders and others were present on the occasion.
He said the education emergency was imposed in Fata to promote literacy rate and provide quality education to the children. “It is the responsibility of the teachers to urge people to enroll their children in schools,” he added.
A walk was staged to create awareness among the people regarding education. Carrying banners and placards inscribed with education emergency, school children, parents and teachers attended the walk.
