Minister reviews work on Holy Family Hospital revamp project

Rawalpindi : Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare and Population Welfare Dr. Jamal Nasir has said that under the revam project of Holy Family Hospital, 97 per cent of the work has been completed on the basement, ground and first floor of the old block, while 78 per cent work has been completed on emergency block, says a press release.

He said this on the occasion of his visit to Holy Family Hospital on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi. Provincial Minister Nasir made a detailed inspection of the hospital and reviewed the ongoing work.

He directed that the speed of work on the new block of Holy Family should also be accelerated and all the required targets should be achieved within a week. He said that currently 700 workers are engaged in repair and renovation work on the Holy Family project and work is being done in three shifts. He said that the repair and renovation of the Holy Family Hospital was inevitable for many years and the present caretaker government started work on this important project of the public health sector of Rawalpindi and worked day and night on this project with ‘Mohsan speed’.

Dr. Jamal said that apart from Holy Family, budget of crores of rupees has been provided for Benazir Bhutto Hospital and DHQ Rawalpindi and they are being repaired, renovated and necessary medical machinery is being provided.
