LAHORE: The Punjab government has constituted a committee to resolve issues of workload and administrative matters between Punjab Institute of Neurosciences (PINS), Lahore and Lahore General Hospital, Lahore.
The committee comprising Minister for Specialised Healthcare & Medical Education as Convenor, and members, including Special Secretary (Operations), SHC&MED 3. Principal PGMI/ AMC/ LGH, Lahore, Executive Director, PINS, Lahore, Prof Ghias-un-Nabi Tayyab ex-Principal, PGMI/ AMC/ LGH, Lahore, Prof Khalid Mahmood, ex-ED, PINS, Lahore, and Additional Secretary (Development) SHC&MED as Secretary, shall work out under Terms of References (ToRs), whereby it shall ascertain the workload of both the institutions for determining the appropriate use of resources. The committee shall furnish a comprehensive solution regarding the demarcation of the administrative areas between both the institutions. The committee shall also propose short-term measures for optimal and smooth service delivery for the patients in terms of necessary relocation of resources. It will furnish recommendations for perusal of the competent authority at the earliest.
