“We want to introduce modern and contemporary education at public sector universities in the province. And it could only be possible when we could make them viable and sound financially,” he told a function at the Hazara University here.

Arshad Hussain Shah, who gave away laptops to students under the Prime Minister programme earlier, said that none of the countries could sail in this science and technology era without investing its major resources in education and this was why his government adopted such measures to empower Universities financially.

“We want public sector varsities to invest in research-orientated education so that our country could sail the world’s arena with dignity and respect,” he added.

The chief minister said that varsity curricula should immediately be changed with modern disciplines as without contemporary education Pakistan couldn’t stand among developed countries in the world.

He said that the government would launch an employment programme for youngsters and they would be sent abroad to earn a respectable living.

“This flagship programme of this government is going to launch within days and youngsters would find employment opportunities abroad,” he added.

The chief minister said that youths would not only bring economic changes in their family’s lives but also bring prosperity to our province.

This programme over 500000 youngsters would be trained in different fields and sent abroad for employment, he said.

“Our jobless youngsters have been suffering from anxiety and deprivations, our government is working to pull them out of such dilemmas,” he added.

The chief minister said that promoting education and equipping youths with modern education was his government’s top priorities and this was why such programmes were being initiated to end their deprivations and make them part of the ongoing development process in the province.

“I have been struggling to work for the prosperity and development of this province during this shortest period in power, this is my mission which I initiated for the betterment of humanity and to bring youths to pay their due for putting this federating unit to horizon,” he added.
