LAHORE : The Punjab Land Records Authority has collected about Rs 25 billion in the financial year 2023-24 from July to November.
According to a spokesperson for the PLRA, the authority has collected Rs 25 billion and fard and mutation services were provided to some 1.6 million people. The spokesman said in terms of service charges, some Rs 6 billion was given to the provincial government and Rs 1.5 billion to PLRA. Apart from this, the PLRA has collected Rs 2 billion for the local government tax (TTIP) and some Rs 15 billion for the Federal Government (FBR) under its reform measures.
In view of public convenience, the PLRA has taken other reform measures such as registry through e-registration to make the registry process easier for the users. Further, progress is also being made on computerisation of urban land records and ISO certification. DG Punjab Land Records Authority Saira Umar says acquisition of land record services is being made possible automatically in PLRA using modern technology and advanced software.
