December 03, 2023

MINGORA: A local Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader on Saturday resigned from the basic party membership and announced to join the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN).

Dost Mohammad Khan was a former candidate for the National Assembly constituency from Swat. He made the decision about joining the PMLN at a press conference in the presence of Engineer Amir Muqam.

Speaking on the occasion, PMLN provincial President Amir Muqam said that his party would sweep the next general election. Welcoming the new entrants, he said that only the PMLN had the ability to steer the country towards economic stability and progress. He criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for the recently conducted intra-party election and said that the announcement about the office-bearers was not made in the absence of the party workers, which created doubts about the entire exercise. The PMLN leader said that the PTI government had nominated him in 35 cases, adding that his son was arrested while the arrest warrants for his wife were also issued. He said that the PTI leaders conspired against the country

and attacked army installations on May 9.
