Sindh, Army clinch national netball titles

KARACHI: Sindh clinched the National Women Netball title while Army won the Men Netball Championship at Hamidi Hall, PSB Sports Complex, Islamabad, on Friday.

In women’s event final, Sindh overcame Army 28-24. Quratul Ain, Nayab Razia, Hina Rafique, Humaira and Anum Salam performed well for Sindh.

WAPDA secured the third place when they beat Punjab 28-17 in the third place play-off.

In men’s event climax, Army overpowered WAPDA 30-24. Abdul Haque, Muhammad Zahid and Khursheed Ahmed played well for the winners.

In the third place play-off, Pakistan Air Force defeated Sindh 36-33.  Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Minister of IPC, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
