CHARSADDA: The Awami National Party (ANP) on Tuesday accused the government of decreasing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa population in the recent census which was bound to cut the province’s share in National Finance Commission ( NFC) Award.
“The population of our Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has been shown decreased in the latest census but nobody gave attention to the issue, which will now deprive us of our share in the NFC award,” said ANP central leader, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, while addressing a gathering of the party workers in Shabqadar.
He said that the province had been deprived of two national and six provincial assemblies’ seats owing to the decreased population shown in the new census. Mian Iftikhar said that the ANP would continue struggle for the rights of the province.
