Schedule for return of IDPs from Orakzai announced
KALAYA: The political administration on Wednesday announced schedule for the return of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) from upper parts of Orakzai Agency to their native areas, which were cleared of militants recently.
Talking to reporters, Political Agent Muhammad Zubair said that the retuning process of the displaced families from upper parts of the agency would start from April 20.
He said that the displaced families would be returned to their native areas in three phases. He said the displaced families from Akhel would return in the first phase while the tribespeople belonging to Alikhel and Mulakhel tribes would be repatriated in the second and third phases of the process, respectively.
He said that the administration had completed arrangements and ground-work for the purpose. He added that the returning families would be fully rehabilitated with the support of international community and other humanitarian organisations.
