Just privatisation

The purpose of privatisation is to eliminate the ever-increasing debts on already weak institutions and make them more profitable. This is the sole purpose of privatising PIA. There is no doubt that corruption, favouritism, lack of efficiency and accountability, and political appointments are responsible for PIA’s current state of affairs.
If government wants to strengthen national institutions then it should hire foreign experts (if we do not have any) to fix the situation. Moreover, in case the government goes for its strategic sale, then it should first develop some mechanism to compensate those who face the prospects of losing their jobs.
