LAHORE
Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) while appreciating steps taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for the development of the health sector particularly routine immunisation and eradication of polio and measles said that the vaccination programme was being carried out in best manner in Punjab.
According to a handout issued here on Sunday, it is said that e-VACCS system with the cooperation of Punjab Information Technology Board was highly effective and commendable and encouraging results had come fore through its implementation. It was disclosed at a meeting of Health Department presided over by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The meeting was told that the delegation of Global Alliance for Vaccines & Immunization had highly appreciated the use of information technology with regard to vaccination programme.
It said the Punjab government had taken steps according to modern demands and due to such unique steps, vaccination programme improved considerably in Punjab.
