President felicitates new Saudi king

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday felicitated the newly crowned King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Extending his best wishes to the new king, the president said, “King Salman is a great friend of Pakistan like his predecessor.” He expressed the confidence that during the reign of the new king, ties between the two brotherly countries based upon close cooperation would reach to new heights.
The president said that King Salman bin Abdulaziz had the desire to strengthen unity among Muslims and to end extremism. – APP
PPI adds: The new King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud has pledged to continue the policies of his predecessor King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. In a televised speech, the new king said, the country would never deviate from its Constitution, the Holy Book and Islamic teachings. He also announced appointment of Muqrin Bin Abdul Aziz as Crown Prince and Mohammed bin Nayef as Deputy Crown Prince.
