Islamabad: Teachers of Islamabad Model Colleges will go on strike from today (Thursday) against the relevant authorities’ failure to meet their demands, especially on upgradation and regular promotions.
The strike will continue until demands are met. According to the Islamabad Model Colleges Central Academic Staff Association (CASA), it had submitted a charter of demands to the CADD minister, secretary and joint secretary (education) and FDE director general on February 19, 2016, clearly warning that the IMCs teaching community would go to any extreme level if the demands were not met.
