No one can turn people of Sindh into minority: Khursheed Shah
SUKKUR: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Khursheed Shah, has said that no one can turn the people of Sindh into a minority during the national level census and added they are aware of the issue and the media should play its role in this regard.
Talking to the media at the Sukkur Press Club on Saturday, Khursheed Shah said the federal government was planning to postpone the national level census, but they will oppose it, adding that the census should be done under the supervision of Pakistan Army.
He said there is an importance of population in any country and planning depends on national development. “If census was delayed or postponed, it will be an injustice and will be harmful for the country.”
He said a meeting of the Committee of Common Interest was scheduled and hoped that it will not be delayed or postponed. Shah further said the staff and the days should be increased for a proper survey.
