Kensington Palace marks Kate Middleton’s Royal Ascot return with special video
The traditional Royal Ascot horse racing event has been held in the United Kingdom since 1711
Kensington Palace has released a video focusing on Prince William and Princess Kate's appearance at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.
A brief statement accompanying the video posted on social media said, the couple was "Delighted to present the trophy for The Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot."
The traditional Royal Ascot horse racing event, which has been held in the United Kingdom since 1711, began on Tuesday with the attendance of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in London.
Last year, Kate Middleton pulled out from a planned attendance at Royal Ascot. Royal sources said she was trying to find the right balance as she fully returned to public engagements amid cancer recovery.
The Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer in 2024 and in September of that year she said she had completed chemotherapy.
