UFC Freedom 250 held at the White House in the celebration of President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday on June 14 was a success. But, the event was marred by controversy, stemming from Josh Hokit’s viral remarks about Michelle Obama.

After winning his match on the White House lawn, UFC fighter Josh Hokit surprised the crowd by declaring, “Michelle Obama is a man! Am I right, America?”

The video took the internet by storm and Hokit received backlash from netizens for uttering such insensitive remarks.

Days after the controversy, Michelle Obama spoke about for the first time on her official X account.

Speaking about the Presidential Center in Chicago, Michelle said, “it means so much to Barack and me to open up the Obama Presidential Center on the South Side of Chicago. This is where I grew up, where Barack got his start, and where we raised our girls. So having a place where kids from our community can see themselves, connect with each other, and channel their hope—there’s nothing more powerful than that.”

Even the former US President Barack Obama also expressed his gratitude to those “who helped bring the Obama Presidential Center to life, thank you. Michelle and I are so grateful for all your dedication and hard work over the years.”

“They represent to me what’s best about this country and what’s best about our values and people who aren’t trying to get every last nickel, and aren’t cutting corners when it comes to values, and treat people high and low with respect and kindness, and handle their business, just salt of the earth, bedrock people,” he added.

However, regarding Josh Hokit’s controversial remarks, Michelle Obama has not yet given any statement.
