Princess Eugenie has reportedly left King Charles upset as the monarch sees his niece following in the footsteps of her father, former Duke of York Andrew.

According to a report by the Royal Observer, Eugenie has sparked concerns after she decided to attend a promotional event in London for Discovery Dunes, an ultra-luxury Dubai-based golfing and real-estate development.

Eugenie, who received an olive branch from King Charles with monarch’s announcement about her third pregnancy, raised eyebrows with her decision because of perceived links to the type of business ventures long associated with Andrew.

The royal insiders have claimed that King Charles is upset over Eugenie’s decision.

The source said, "Seeing Eugenie following in her father's footsteps, and in a high-profile way so soon after the King publicly put a metaphorical arm around her shoulder by organizing a Palace announcement of her pregnancy, has jarred."

The close insiders also explained how King's recent supportive gesture towards Eugenie made the York Princess subsequent involvement in the event all the more notable.

Meanwhile, there are also speculations, Eugenie and Beatrice secretly reunited with their mother in Austria while the royals celebrated Trooping the Colours.

Earlier, the palace announced “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer.

“The King has been informed and is delighted with the news,” the statement further reads.
