Prince William 'furious' as Queen Camilla takes bold move

Queen Camilla has reportedly left Prince William ‘furious’ with her bold move as the unexpected feud has erupted behind palace walls.

The feud erupted after Camilla’s team allegedly blocked bride Harriet Sperling from sporting tiara from the royal collection for her wedding to Princess Anne’s son Peter Phillips.

King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton and other senior royals attended Peter and Harriet wedding at All Saints Church in Kemble, before guests moved on to celebrate at Anne’s home of Gatcombe Park.

The Closer, citing the royal sources, has reported William was ‘furious’ with Camilla for effectively blocking Harriet and Peter from access to the royals’ jewellery collection.

“He wanted them to have that option but Camilla flat-out objected, which was a huge and heated talking point in the build-up to the wedding and everyone was pretty shocked to see William and Camilla get into it like that,” the insider said.

However, Harriet saved the happy occasion as she tactfully opted for a tiara owned by the Pragnell Family, instead of one of Princess Anne’s collection.

The insider said, “Thankfully Harriet opted not to use a tiara from the royals private collection. But that speaks more about her diplomacy than William or Camilla winning and getting their own way.”

It is to be mentioned here that Harriet is non-royal – thus meaning that she should not have access to the royal jewels, as protocol dictates.

But, the insiders said Prince William respects the rules, the Prince of Wales feels any access to the royal vault should be decided by Charles or by him as future king and a descendant of the royal bloodline, not by Camilla, who married into the family.
