King Charles helps to shape the future of Grimsby
Inside King Charles' special visit to Grimsby
King Charles just spent the day in Grimsby for special royal visit.
On Thursday, the official Instagram handle of the British royal family shared heartfelt photos from the visit, showing the monarch meeting locals, business owners and workers in the town.
Sharing details from the visit, the palace wrote, "The King has spent the day in Grimsby, meeting local leaders, organisations and businesses helping to shape the future of the town and create opportunities to benefit the community."
They further revealed that His Majesty visited Horizon Youth Zone where he "spent time with young people and heard about the afterschool activities provided to build confidence and social skills."
Late King Charles visited The Care hub and Blundell Park. The caption of the post revealed, "The King later visited The CARE hub, a community care and housing organisation designed to provide support to members of the town."
"At Blundell Park, home of @OfficialGTFC and one of England’s oldest professional football clubs, The King joined members of the Our Future collective. The national charity works with people across Grimsby to build relationships, support leadership and create the conditions for citizen-led change," they added further.
As the King braved torrential rain in the town, he quipped to well-wishers waiting to greet him, "I’m so sorry you got so wet."
