Sources weigh in on Prince Harry’s new-found happiness as Australia reconsiders help
Prince Harry has recently been handed the best news possible
News that the Australian government has decided on a complete U-turn after announcing they will no longer be funding Invictus Games Australia, Prince Harry has finally received good news, now that they’ve pledged back in for another three years.
A source explained all the happy feelings running around camp Sussex following this news, and shared it with Heat.
According to them, this back peddeling “is a win that Harry really needed.”
Reason being, in recent months, “things have been piling up against him, so to finally have something come together in his favour means the world to him.”
As of right now, behind the scenes, and alongside Meghan and the rest of the family, “he’s celebrating big time and very hyped up about Australia right now. He’s saying it’s somewhere he can’t wait to get back to with Meghan and the kids. He’d love to spend an extended amount of time there and has a number of good friends who live Down Under, so he does feel a sense of home when he’s there because there’s a lot of cultural overlap.”
As for those unversed with what’s been happening, the Australian government temporarily cut out funding and support for the Invictus Australia rehab charity, aimed at helping veterans, and the moment the news hit that the multi-year AUD$9 million funding package for Invictus Australia would not be renewed the reason sat, a response followed. According to the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) the reason was cost because as of right now sending even one competitor to the Invictus Games cost taxpayers $91,000. But shortly thereafter advocates swarmed the media explaining how beneficial the program was for their physical and mental health, causing the government to reconsider and choose to renew.
