Jennifer Lopez gets emotional as her twins hit new milestone ​

Jennifer Lopez is getting emotional as her twins, Max and Emme, both eighteen, are all set to leave home for college.

​The Office Romance star admitted that she is not ready to become an empty nester following their recent high school graduation, during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, on Monday, June 8.

​“It's an emotional time. It's been the three of us,” she said. “People have come in and out of my life, but it's been the three of us. They've always been there, and I've always been there," Lopez told host Andy Cohen.

​The Atlas star explained, “I just never thought they would not be there,” she said, referring to Max and Emme. “I just never thought that far ahead. I thought, too, that they're so independent. I've given them roots and wings.”

​Lopez further shared that she wanted to write something for her twins at their end-of-high-school ceremony, but she was not able to do it.

​“[I thought], ‘It's great, this is how it is … this is a healthy mom thing to do.' And then about a couple of months ago, I just was like writing something for their end-of-the-school-year thing for them to put in the program at the graduation," the doting mom noted, adding, "And I just have not … every time it comes up, I just start crying. I could cry right now.”

​Lopesz welcomed her twins with her ex husband Mark Anthony.
