Prince George’s future as King ‘has become very real’: ‘William, Kate’s opinions now differ’

King Charles’ grandson’s path to the throne is said to be accelerating, all because of his cancer battle

A well-placed source just came forward with insight into this, and shared everything while speaking to Heat.

According to their findings, the eldest of Prince William’s son is not only facing a future in the public eye because his father is soon to be King but also because he himself is slated to take up that mantle when his time comes.

They were the ones to say, “George’s future as King has become very real – and there’s a definite difference of opinion.”

In the insider’s eyes, “William is very focused making sure George’s path to the throne is as smooth as possible, but his wife Kate is moving “desperately” in an opposite direction “trying to keep hold of his old life for as long as she can.”

As sort of a compromise “at home, he’s still just George,” they explained. “He loves being outside, messing around with his siblings and doing ordinary kid stuff. Kate holds onto that very tightly, because she knows these years are going by incredibly fast.”

For those unversed, these desires have stemmed from Kate's own brush against her mortality which was revealed back in 2024 via an Instagram update. In it, it was revealed at the time that she’s undergoing a “planned abdominal surgery” but following that cancer was found and she started preventative chemo-therapy that the public didn’t know about until March of that same year.

Shortly after in June was the first public outing the princess took part in, and her event of choice was the Trooping the Colour. During this engagement she was photographed atop the balcony.

Months went by after that without many official updates and sometime in September a video came out, that many describe as ‘cinematic’ where she announced her remission, and since then, slowly but surely the public has seen more and more of the princess of wales.
