Armed police come under fire for 'inappropriate' comments towards William, Kate’s residence
The police have come under fire and the Met Police speaks out
The armed security personnel near Prince William and Kate Middleton’s private residence have just come under fire for ‘inappropriate’ behavior near their royal residence.
The news comes via The Sun and per their findings, a compliant was even filed by the Kensington Palace staff, after the incident.
This has even prompted a reaction by The Met Police who clarified however, that reports of this behavior being dubbed, “misogynistic”, is not believed to be serious enough to reach the “misconduct” threshold.
One of the incidents also claims there was an instance where a female member of staff was befriended on Facebook and claims that behavior was “inappropriate”.
Action by the Royal Family caused those personnel to be relegated to other armed duties shortly thereafter though.
The Met also issued a statement to the same outlet claiming, “The reported behaviour falls below the high standards expected of officers, particularly those in frontline protective roles.”
“As a result of our internal investigation into this matter, the officers received reflective practice to consider their actions and identify learning for the future. It remains a priority for the Met to ensure all officers and staff uphold the highest standards of professionalism, so we can continue to build trust and confidence with those we serve.”
