Harry no longer wants to be seen as 'estranged prince' as he eyes new public role in UK: Report
The Duke of Sussex still 'sees Britain as home', says sources
Prince Harry is said to be quietly working on plans to make his "permanent" return to his royal life back in the UK as he no longer wants to be known as “a royal exile living in California.”
As per a report by Radaronline.com, the Duke of Sussex wants to present himself as a humanitarian voice on UK issues rather than an "estranged prince" who is "chasing celebrity projects."
It is pertinent to mention that Harry, along with his wife Meghan Markle said goodbye to their royal life back in 2020 and moved out of the palace to restart their life in the US.
But now sources claim that the duke is "preparing the ground" for his comeback in Britain, as his team keeps an eye on Buckingham Palace's ongoing activities and inside information to avoid any future clash.
An insider said, "Harry appears determined to create a new version of himself within British public life – one that exists outside the formal machinery of the monarchy but still carries the weight and visibility of his royal background."
One of the reasons is that Harry "wants to be viewed less as an estranged prince chasing celebrity projects and more as a serious humanitarian and international figure whose opinions on major social and political issues still matter in Britain."
A palace source claimed, "Harry is slowly preparing the ground for a much deeper and more permanent connection to the UK again, even if that falls far short of a traditional royal comeback."
The tattler added, "He understands there is no realistic route back into the institution after the fallout of recent years, but emotionally and psychologically he still sees Britain as home. People around him believe he wants to re-establish a respected public role here on his own terms rather than remain permanently defined as a royal exile living in California."
