'Stranger Things' franchise marches on with new trailer
The sci-fi franchise continues to grow with the 'Stranger Things: Tales From ’85' trailer
The story of Hawkins is not over yet. Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, an animated series, which will show the events between seasons two and three's trailer has been dropped.
Eric Robles serves as showrunner, and the Duffer Brothers serve as executive producers. The all-new animated adventure will appear on Netflix on April 23.
The voice cast includes Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Benjamin Plessala as Will and Brett Gipson as Hopper.
The synopsis of the Tales From ’85 will feature "Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max during what appears to be a peaceful winter break filled with snowball fights and Dungeons & Dragons sessions. But when a mysterious threat awakens beneath the snow-covered streets of Hawkins, the young heroes must uncover its source and save their town once more."
In other news, Charlie Heaton, who portrayed Jonathan Byers, weighs in on his character's unusual running style on the show.
On his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he reveals it was intentional. "Yes. That was a total character choice," he says when asked.
Stranger Things is streaming on Netflix.
