Andrew Windsor's 'lonely' Christmas plans finally revealed
Inside former Prince Andrew's 'sad and lonely' Christmas plans
Former Prince Andrew will reportedly have "lonely" Christmas this year as his move from Royal Lodge continues to face delays.
Insiders told Radar Online that, the ex-Prince, now simply known as Andrew Windsor, had been expected to leave the mansion on King Charles' orders and relocate to smaller residence on Sandringham estate. However, the unfinished preparations at his new home mean the move may not take place until February.
The source said that the father of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie has "lived in that big house for many years, and since he's moving to a smaller place, it's unlikely the move will happen before Christmas." Insiders described the ex-Prince as "sad, lonely, and stubborn" about the relocation.
"He's treating it almost like a squatter situation, staying put until everything is completely ready for his move," the source said.
Adding, "It is typical, Andrew – pathetic, childish, and ridiculous."
However, palace sources claim that the situation may be convenient for the royal family given that they do not intend to invite disgraced ex-prince to traditional holiday celebrations.
"The family feels relieved he won't be there for Christmas. It spares everyone an awkward situation with the senior royals after such a turbulent year," the insider stated.
Former Prince Andrew was asked to leave royal lodge by King Charles due to the ongoing controversy surrounding his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
