Meghan Markle faces huge blow as brand struggles amid low sales
Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand As Ever struggles to match Goop’s online popularity
Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand As Ever is facing new challenges as its online store saw much lower traffic than Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop in October.
While the Duchess of Sussex’s shop used to sell out quickly after new releases, recent numbers show it received around 746,000 page views, far behind Goop’s 2.3 million.
Speaking with The Express, a source said some issues with the business have been resolved but the site is still struggling to match its competitor’s popularity.
They said the lower traffic raises questions about the brand’s long-term growth, especially as Meghan continues to focus on her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.
This comes after Prince Harry’s wife received criticism online after she released a new video featuring her cooking for Thanksgiving.
Meghan attracted the backlash after viewers noticed she handled a raw turkey while wearing her jewellery in the video.
"So gross, and it's basic food handling knowledge. Proof she has no idea what she's doing,” one user commented, per The Mirror.
Another added, "I don't know anyone who wears their rings and bracelets when handling food, especially a turkey. Guaranteed spread of bacteria."
"Then she picks up the pepper grinder without washing her hands. Another Salmonella Sussex disaster,” a third penned.
