Lady Louise Windsor stepped into the spotlight this Remembrance season in full military regalia, parading with precision during the St Andrews Regiments’ Day Parade as part of her role with the St Andrews University Officers’ Training Corps (UOTC).
The 22 year old, who celebrated her birthday on Saturday, cut an impressively focused figure in her belted army jacket and beret, poppy pinned smartly to her breast pocket.
The only daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh marched alongside her fellow cadets, including her rumoured beau, Felix da Silva-Clamp.
Observers noted Lady Louise’s unwavering concentration, with one source telling HELLO!, “It was a very sombre affair.
Louise’s serious demeanour reflects the gravity of the procession. She was incredibly committed and professional throughout.”
Currently in her fourth and final year of an English degree at St Andrews University, Lady Louise holds the rank of Officer Cadet in the Army Reserve.
The parade itself began at Holy Trinity Church before marching through the town to the War Memorial, where wreaths were laid in remembrance of the fallen, marking a fitting tribute led with poise and precision by Lady Louise Windsor.
Her role in the St Andrews University Officers’ Training Corps (UOTC) is far from ceremonial.
Lady Louise has completed basic weapons training, leadership lessons, and intensive courses in navigating tough terrain under pressure, all while balancing a busy academic and social life.
Outside the parade ground, she has been active in university theatre, playing a “powerful and cynical witch” named Nilvana in January 2024’s Dragon Theatre production, showcasing her flair for the dramatic alongside her disciplined military duties.
