Princess Beatrice opens up about new royal role as parents fall from grace
The Princess of York makes emotional statement following Andrew, Sarah's royal exit
Princess Beatrice made a heartfelt statement as a new chapter of her life began following the departure of her parents, Andrew and Fergie, from the royal family.
The eldest daughter of the York family has been announced as Deputy Patron of Outward Bound, which is a youth development charity with deep ties to her family.
She was accompanied by her uncle, Prince Edward, who is the Royal Patron of the organisation, during a headline-making event at St James’s Palace on Thursday.
Speaking with The Mirror, Beatrice opened up about her new royal role while putting on a brave face, especially after her father, Andrew, stripped off his royal titles and honours.
She said, "I feel incredibly inspired and grateful to have met so many young people like Sadie and Leo through the years that I've been a part of Outward Bound."
"They show us that anything is possible when you put your mind to it, and that's what Outward Bound does, works," the 37-year-old added.
Beatrice expressed her excitement about working with The Duke of Edinburgh, saying, "...we aim to continue the 80+ years of evidence which shows that adventure can build resilience, confidence and kindness in young people."
For the unversed, on October 30, the York family suffered a major setback after King Charles 'banished' his disgraced brother following the resurfacing of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
