Meghan Markle ended her week-long hiatus on social media after the royal family had reunited for a significant event on the royal calendar.

The Duchess of Sussex took to her Instagram to share a special Father’s Day message, just hours after King Charles gave a shout-out to “all dads everywhere”.

In an adorable montage of home videos of husband Prince Harry and their kids, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, to mark the occasion on Sunday.

“The best,” Meghan wrote alongside the video set to the tune of Jason Mraz’s Have It All. “Happy Father’s Day to our favorite guy [double heart emoji].”

Prior to Meghan’s post, King Charles’s office had shared a special tribute from the monarch and Queen Camilla on Father’s Day.

A black and white photo of Prince Philip pushing Charles and Princess Anne on a swing was shared, A photo from Charles and Camilla’s wedding was also shared with her standing next to her father.

The message read, “To all Dads everywhere, we wish you a happy Father’s Day today.”

Many speculate that Charles’s ‘to all dads” also included his estranged son, Harry. Despite the growing rift between the father and son, the King reportedly has a soft corner for his ‘darling boy’.

In a report by Us Weekly, royal historian Marlene Koenig said that Charles “never stopped loving Harry, but he doesn’t want to [cause] any more tension within the family.”

She noted that the king is unable to bring his two sons together something he wants to do.

She continued, “It must be awfully painful for the king that he doesn’t see his grandchildren and that he can’t talk to his son for fear of what will happen, but he’s keeping his distance until they can find a way to talk.”
